NADRA
Last Updated: October 2026
You cannot download a blank B-Form. NADRA does not publish one: the Forms category on its Downloads page holds 13 forms and none is for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC), which is the B-Form’s official name. NADRA issues the certificate after it registers the child. What you can download is your own child’s copy. NADRA says a CRC applied for in the Pak ID app is downloaded as a PDF and appears in the app’s ID Vault, and since September 2026 the app can also download certificates for applications made at a NADRA centre.
Pages that offer a “B-Form form” or a sample are not NADRA’s, and filling one in registers nobody. This guide covers what NADRA does publish, how to get the PDF, what a copy costs, and what a downloaded B-Form can and cannot be used for.
What NADRA publishes, and what it does not
| What you may be looking for | What exists |
|---|---|
| A blank B-Form or CRC application form | None. The Forms category lists transgender registration forms, an orphanage form, POC and NICOP forms, attester and verifier forms, a correction form, an FRC fingerprint form and a NICOP reprint or renewal fingerprint form |
| Instructions for applying | The New CRC guideline, version 3.0, dated 11 November 2025, in the Guidelines category |
| Your child’s CRC as a file | A PDF in the Pak ID app’s ID Vault, per NADRA’s FAQ, once the application is complete |
| A sample B-Form | Not published by NADRA |
Getting the PDF through the Pak ID app
- Open the application. Sign in to your Pak ID account. On the Home page go to Family and choose CRC or B-form, then choose Myself or one of your blood relatives (real parents, siblings, spouse or children).
- Pick a priority. Executive costs PKR 500 and takes one day. Normal costs PKR 50 and takes seven days. NADRA says Normal can be upgraded to Executive later.
- Add the child. Enter the birth certificate number and its type, then the child’s details and both parents’ CNIC numbers. The disability section is optional.
- Give the biometrics NADRA asks for. The child’s photograph and fingerprints are taken where required, and one parent’s fingerprints are verified. The guideline calls this the attestation step and says the applicant’s spouse must verify biometrics for the application to continue.
- Upload the documents. NADRA’s FAQ names the computerised birth registration certificate from a Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment for births in Pakistan, and a detailed birth certificate or an S-1 form for births abroad.
- Review, submit and pay. You tick the boxes that affirm your answers are true.
- Download. When the processing period for your priority ends, NADRA says the CRC is downloaded as a PDF and appears in the ID Vault.
NADRA’s rules for the child, such as the expiry ages and the mandatory birth certificate, are in our B-Form guide. Our birth certificate guide covers getting the certificate the application needs, and our Pak ID app guide covers the app.
A copy of a B-Form you already have
NADRA’s release notes for version 5.7.6 of the Pak ID app (3 September 2026) list a Certificate Downloads feature, an option to download certificates in the app for applications submitted at NADRA centres. The note does not say whether certificates from earlier applications are included, so open the app’s ID Vault and see whether the CRC is there.
If it is not, the route is a reprint. NADRA’s Registration Policy includes the CRC in its reprint and renewal requirements. It asks for the CRC number and no other document, and says attestation is not required. The child has to be present only if the CRC was issued without biometrics or has expired. NADRA’s fee structure lists one price for a CRC of any category, PKR 50 on Normal in seven days or PKR 500 on Executive in one day, and it does not break out a reprint, so ask the centre what a copy will cost. Delivery within Pakistan is listed separately at PKR 165.
Important: do not file a new CRC application to get a copy. NADRA’s FAQ says that where a child has duplicate CRC records in its database, the duplication has to be resolved and one record cancelled before a Juvenile Card can be processed, so a second registration risks holding up the child’s later documents.
Checking whether a B-Form is genuine
We found no NADRA lookup in which you enter a B-Form number and see the record. NADRA’s app release notes for 24 September 2026 list QR verification for CRC and ID cancellation certificates. NADRA has not published how it works, so we cannot describe it. If a school or office doubts a B-Form, a NADRA centre is the place to ask.
What a downloaded B-Form can be used for
- A passport for a child under 18. NADRA’s FAQ says a valid CRC with a picture, or a Juvenile Card, is required. A CRC issued to a child under three carries no photograph unless it was processed for a passport.
- Only while valid. A CRC expires when the child reaches three, ten and eighteen. A PDF of an expired CRC is an expired CRC.
- Not a birth certificate. The Union Council, Municipal Committee, Cantonment Board or CDA issues the birth certificate, and NADRA requires it before it issues a CRC.
- Not a family certificate. The Family Registration Certificate is a separate document. For a child born abroad, NADRA’s FAQ says the child must hold a CRC, Juvenile Card or NICOP before appearing on the parents’ FRC. Our B-Form and FRC comparison sets the two side by side, and our FRC guide explains the FRC.
Common mistakes
- Searching for a blank form. There is none, and registering a child begins with the Union Council’s birth certificate.
- Paying a website for a download. NADRA’s app gives you the PDF of your own certificate.
- Sending a CRC that has expired. It lapses at three, ten and eighteen, and the record has to be rebuilt each time.
- Applying again instead of asking for a copy. Duplicate CRC records have to be cleared before later documents can be processed.
- Confusing the B-Form with a Union Council Form B. Some provinces use a Form B to report a death. It has nothing to do with a child’s certificate.
- Assuming a centre application gave you a PDF. NADRA’s note says downloads are available for applications submitted at centres, but not since when.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about this topic.
Can I download a B-Form online?
You can download your own child’s B-Form, not a blank one. NADRA says a CRC applied for in the Pak ID app is downloaded as a PDF and appears in the app’s ID Vault when processing ends. Since version 5.7.6 of the app (3 September 2026) NADRA also lists an option to download certificates for applications submitted at its centres.
Is there a blank B-Form I can download and fill in?
No. The Forms category on NADRA’s Downloads page has 13 forms and none is for a Child Registration Certificate, which is the B-Form’s official name. You apply through the Pak ID app or at a NADRA centre, and NADRA issues the certificate after it registers the child. Sample forms elsewhere are not NADRA’s.
How do I get my child’s B-Form in the Pak ID app?
On the Home page go to Family, choose CRC or B-form, and select Myself or a blood relative. Pick Executive or Normal, add the child with the birth certificate number and type, give the parents’ details, biometrics and documents, then submit and pay. NADRA’s FAQ says the CRC is then downloaded as a PDF and appears in the ID Vault.
How much does a B-Form cost?
PKR 50 on Normal, which takes seven days, or PKR 500 on Executive, which takes one day, on NADRA’s fee structure. There is no Urgent tier. Delivery within Pakistan is listed separately at PKR 165.
What if I lost my child’s B-Form?
NADRA’s Registration Policy lists the CRC among the documents that can be reprinted. It asks for the CRC number and no other document, and attestation is not required. The child must attend only if the CRC was issued without biometrics or has expired. Check the app’s ID Vault first.
How can I verify a B-Form?
We found no NADRA lookup that takes a B-Form number. NADRA’s app release notes for 24 September 2026 list QR verification for CRC and ID cancellation certificates, but NADRA has not published how it works. A NADRA centre is the place to ask.
Does a downloaded B-Form expire?
Yes. A CRC expires when the child reaches three, ten and eighteen, and a PDF of an expired CRC is an expired CRC. For a passport NADRA says a valid CRC with a picture, or a Juvenile Card, is required for a child under 18.
Can I get a B-Form without a birth certificate?
No. NADRA’s FAQ says a birth certificate from a Union Council, Cantonment Board or CDA is a mandatory prerequisite for a CRC. For a child born abroad it accepts a detailed foreign birth certificate or an S-1 form.
Is a B-Form the same as a CRC or a Juvenile Card?
A B-Form is the CRC. The Juvenile Card is a separate card issued to under-18s under the same rule, and a child can apply for one without ever having held a CRC. If a child has duplicate CRC records, NADRA says one must be cancelled before a Juvenile Card can be processed.
