NADRA Executive Registration Centre: What It Really Is (2026)

NADRA

Last Updated: August 2026

Here is the thing almost every guide on this subject gets wrong. “Executive Registration Centre” is not a category of NADRA facility. Executive is a processing tier on NADRA’s national fee schedule, available on services rather than at special buildings. Once you see that, the practical questions become answerable: what the tier costs, how fast it actually is, and the case where it is free.

How NADRA actually classifies its centres

NADRA publishes its own network breakdown in its Footprint statistics. These are the categories it uses, with the figures published as at 29 August 2026.

RegionTotal centresMegaDouble shiftFemaleMRVs
Punjab3537523120
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa2332371139
Sindh15936045
Balochistan12818317
Azad Jammu and Kashmir430007
Gilgit-Baltistan360113
Islamabad111103

That is 963 centres in total, including 14 Mega Centres, 18 Female Centres and 234 Mobile Registration Vans. NADRA also counts Zonal Offices, Man Pack Units and Succession Centres in the same table.

The word “Executive” does not appear anywhere in that classification. Some individual centres do carry Executive in their name, which is where the confusion starts, but it is not a service category NADRA publishes or a tier of building you can seek out.

What Executive actually is

The fastest of three priorities on NADRA’s fee schedule. You choose it per application, and it changes the price and the published processing time. Here is what it buys, and the comparison is more interesting than it first looks.

ServiceNormalUrgentExecutive
CNIC, non-smartPKR 400, 15 daysPKR 1,150, 12 daysPKR 2,150, 06 days
Smart CNICPKR 750, 31 daysPKR 1,500, 23 daysPKR 2,500, 09 days
CRCPKR 50, 7 daysNot offeredPKR 500, 01 day
FRCNot offeredNot offeredPKR 1,000 or 2,000, 01 day
Smart NICOP, Zone AUSD 39, 31 daysUSD 57, 23 daysUSD 75, 09 days
Smart NICOP, Zone BUSD 20, 31 daysUSD 30, 23 daysUSD 40, 09 days

Two things fall out of that table that no centre-based guide will tell you.

Executive on the non-smart card is both faster and cheaper than Executive on the Smart card. Six days against nine, for PKR 350 less. If speed is the reason you are paying, the non-smart line wins outright. The one limit is that NADRA’s policy states “reversion from SMART card to Teslin is not allowed”, so this is only open to you if you are not already holding a Smart card.

For the FRC, Executive is the only tier there is. There is no Normal or Urgent option, so the price you see is the only price and it arrives in a day. The CRC has no Urgent tier either. “Choosing Executive” is not a decision on either of those.

When the fastest tier is free

The most useful thing on this page, and it is almost never mentioned. If the error on your card was NADRA’s rather than yours, it is handled as an office fault, and NADRA’s Registration Policy states that office fault cases “can be processed from any DAU in executive category (free of cost)”. Its fee schedule separately lists Office Mistake as free.

The policy adds that no documents and no attestation are required, and that you may raise it at any time after receiving the card, for the specific fields that are wrong. So before paying PKR 2,150 for speed, compare your card against the application you submitted. If they disagree, you may be entitled to the fastest tier at no charge.

What Executive does not buy you

  • It does not change the requirements. A renewal still needs your CNIC number and nothing else, whatever you pay.
  • It does not include delivery. Add PKR 165 within Pakistan. Abroad, NADRA states delivery “varies from country to country”.
  • It does not shorten the queue at the counter. That is what an appointment is for, where your centre supports one.
  • It does not let you change data during a renewal or duplicate. NADRA’s policy is explicit that “any change in data is not allowed” on those, at any tier.

And if you are overseas, the tier you pay for is not the timeline you should plan against. Missions quote their own turnarounds in weeks: both London and Toronto publish 6, 4 and 2 weeks against NADRA’s 31, 23 and 09 days. See our NICOP fees guide for what individual missions charge and quote.

The centre categories that do matter

If you were searching for a better class of centre, these are the real ones, and two of them are genuinely worth knowing about.

  • Mega Centres. Fourteen nationally, reported to run longer hours and higher capacity. NADRA does not publish a per-centre timetable, so confirm before travelling.
  • Female Centres. Eighteen nationally, and rarely mentioned anywhere. If a women-only facility matters to you, ask the helpline which is nearest.
  • Mobile Registration Vans. 234 of them, described by NADRA as “fully equipped to process applications just like a NADRA Registration Center”, at standard fees with “no extra charges for MRV services”.
  • Double shift centres. 99 nationally, which is what extended operating hours actually looks like in NADRA’s own classification.

Common mistakes

  • Looking for an Executive Registration Centre. It is a tier you select, not a building you visit.
  • Believing a chart that ties tiers to centre types. The tiers are priced on the national fee schedule.
  • Paying Executive on a Smart card for speed. Non-smart Executive is faster and cheaper, if you are not already on a Smart card.
  • Paying at all to fix NADRA’s error. Office fault is processed in the Executive category free of cost.
  • Treating Executive as a choice on an FRC. It is the only tier offered.
  • Booking travel against the day count. Delivery is extra, and missions quote weeks.

For the full schedule across every service, see our CNIC fees and processing time guide, and if you are deciding between services, renewal and duplicate are priced identically.

Centre classifications and counts are from NADRA’s Footprint statistics, and fees and processing times from its official fee structure, both read on 29 August 2026. The office fault terms, the restriction on data changes and the note on card reversion are from Registration Policy RP-6.0.1, and the mobile van description from NADRA’s MRV page. Mega Centre hours are press-reported rather than published by NADRA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about this topic.

Is there such a thing as a NADRA Executive Registration Centre?

Not as a category of facility. NADRA’s own Footprint statistics classify centres as Mega Centres, Double Shift, Female Centres, Mobile Registration Vans, Zonal Offices, Man Pack Units and Succession Centres. Executive appears nowhere in that classification. It is a processing tier you select per application.

What does Executive processing cost?

For a non-smart CNIC, PKR 2,150 with a 06 day processing time. For a Smart CNIC, PKR 2,500 with 09 days. For a NICOP it is USD 75 in Zone A or USD 40 in Zone B, both at 09 days. Delivery is charged separately.

Which Executive option is fastest?

The non-smart CNIC, at 06 days against the Smart card’s 09, and PKR 350 cheaper. The catch is that NADRA’s policy does not allow reverting from a Smart card to the older type, so it is only available if you do not already hold a Smart card.

Can Executive processing ever be free?

Yes. If the error was NADRA’s own, it is treated as an office fault, and its Registration Policy states these can be processed in the Executive category free of cost, with no documents and no attestation required.

Does Executive processing change what documents I need?

No. The requirement list is identical at every tier. A renewal needs your CNIC number whatever you pay.

Is Executive available for every document?

No. An FRC is Executive only, so there is no choice to make and no cheaper tier. A CRC has Normal and Executive but no Urgent option.

How many NADRA centres are there?

NADRA’s published Footprint puts the total at 963, including 14 Mega Centres, 18 Female Centres, 99 double shift centres and 234 Mobile Registration Vans, alongside Zonal Offices, Man Pack Units and Succession Centres.

Will Executive processing get me seen faster at the counter?

No. It shortens production time, not the queue. An appointment through the PakID app is what addresses queueing, where your centre is covered by the rollout.
